Falcon PT40

Falcon PT40 is a very compact, sleek portable data terminal, sized to fit in your shirt pocket or on a belt clip like a cell phone. Complete with integrated bar code laser and multiple memory options, the PT40 is powerful enough to handle virtually any batch data collection task, yet rugged enough for demanding environments.

Each unit comes complete with ASI's software applications already installed, furthering simplifying the deployment process.

Small in Size, Big on Features

With its built-in laser, the PT40 provides nimble bar code scanning at distances from 2” to 34”. It offers memory options from 256K up to 2MB for large look-up files or extensive data storage. Additionally, the PT40 features a long lasting Lithium-Ion main battery, providing many hours, or even days of use between charges. Backed by a rechargeable Lithium backup battery, the PT40 will retain its memory for 3-5 days even when the main battery is completely discharged. A full 26-key keypad is laid out nearly identical to a typical cell phone, providing easy transition for the average user. The crisp display is even backlit for low-light situations.

Powerful Programming Tool

The PT Program Generator (PPG) is a Windows-based programming tool that features a graphical user interface to quickly and easily create your PT40 portable ap­plication. The latest version of PPG allows an existing PT2000 or Topgun application to run without modification on the PT40 (with a simple re-compile).

International Capabilities

The PT40 was designed for data collection users worldwide. Initially supporting Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional (Big5) fonts, the PT40 will continue to be expanded to support other double byte languages in the near future.
